KRONA ROBOT · measurement resource · version 24 October 2026
Record an unloading test that another person can assess
Agree the freight, configuration, timing and acceptance definitions before observing the run. This protocol organizes evidence; it is not a safety procedure, operating instruction or record of KRONA performance.
Run tests only through the site's approved procedures and responsible team. Keep raw evidence and changed conditions alongside the result. A useful report can conclude that the application needs more work.
- Carton grip and complete-sequence results
- Load times, participation and overlapping events
- Supplier statements, tests and open questions
These are blank collection resources. They contain no measured results or acceptance promises.
1. Identify the test and intended decision
- Assign a test reference, date/time zone and evidence owner. Label the setting: laboratory, demonstration, pilot or customer operation.
- Record the robot, tool, software and motion/profile versions, receiving mode and any relevant configuration change.
- State the question being tested and the acceptance criteria agreed by the responsible team before the run. Keep unresolved criteria explicit.
2. Describe the filled cartons and route
- Record unique carton identities/counts, filled dimensions and measured mass, board/sealing condition, accessible faces and load-wall arrangement.
- Photograph representative transported cartons and the actual contact area. Keep damaged, changed and excluded profiles separate from the tested envelope.
- Attach the receiving layout and identification point. Name the owner of conveyor readiness, pallet exchange, exceptions and receiving completion.
3. Define the clocks before starting
- Record preparation start, first pick, final unique carton extracted, final dock clearance and receiving completion as separate events.
- Define whether the reported rate includes receiving waits and handling exceptions. If it does, do not add those stops a second time.
- Record each participant's actual work intervals; person-hours and elapsed time answer different questions.
4. Retain success, interruption and release evidence
- Separate attempted sequences, accepted completed sequences and retry attempts. A retry does not create another unique completed carton.
- Record retained grip through the intended movement, completed release/handoff, damage observations and the evidence reference for each result.
- Log stop start/end events, cause, active assistance minutes and any overlapping work. Retain faults and excluded cartons rather than silently removing them from the denominator.
- Label partial video sequences accurately. Holding a box in a still frame does not establish a completed unload, package mass or reliability rate.
5. Calculate with matching boundaries
- Completed-carton rate: unique accepted cartons divided by the stated elapsed interval. Report the count, duration and any exclusions beside the rate.
- Complete-sequence acceptance rate: accepted completed sequences divided by attempted sequences under the declared retry rule. Show both counts; do not generalize from a small or selected sample.
- Labour-hours: add actual participant time on the defined job. State preparation, assistance and downstream work separately when excluded.
- For a manual comparison, use comparable freight and the same start/finish. If those differ, describe the difference rather than calculate an unsupported percentage saving.
6. Review before publishing
- Have the responsible technical reviewer check raw records, arithmetic, acceptance, changes and remaining uncertainties.
- Keep the outcome within the tested package/configuration/site conditions. Product maximums are not measured whole-load results.
- Confirm permission for customer names, footage, quotations and operating details. A laboratory test must not be presented as a customer deployment.
- Publish only a completed, reviewed evidence pack. If an observation or permission is missing, collect it before publishing that claim.
For operational context, read the pilot acceptance guide, carton-gripper guide and unloading-time guide.
